Penn Street Cricket Club which has been established now for over 100 years although during World War II cricket wasn't played due to an army camp being placed on the playing area.

Speaking from experience it appears not to have had a detrimental affect on, what is arguably, one of the best batting tracks around!

We are small and very friendly club that plays its cricket the way it should be played and within the spirit of the game. We are competitive and have a strong desire to win but not at any cost.

We play both on Saturdays and Sundays as well as a few evening games throughout the summer not forgetting our annual Boxing Day game with the rest of the village.

The Penn Street juniors are an important part of the club. They play on the common, with sessions running every Wednesday 6pm-7.30pm throughout the summer.

New juniors are welcome and tuition from our experienced seniors is always on hand!
